Membership/Baptism

Baptism at Calvary

Believers Baptism
Baptism is a crucial step of obedience to our Lord Jesus. If you are a believer and have not yet been baptized, we urge you to pursue Christian baptism.
Calvary approves membership only for those who have been baptized by immersion since their conversion.
If you would like to learn more about believer's baptism or apply to be baptized, please contact the church at

Membership Process at Calvary

Membership in a local church is vital to the spiritual  health of each believer. The local church provides a place for corporate worship, fellowship, accountability, and opportunities to serve alongside fellow Christians. Below is some information on biblical membership and how to complete the membership process here at Calvary.
This is the process that we follow for anyone seeking Membership at Calvary.
If you re interested in membership, contact the church at office@calvarysb.org.

Step One: Sign up for our Membership Class

The Membership Class typically meets for three hours on a Saturday Morning (8-11 AM).  You must attend this class to proceed with the Membership process.  In this class you will learn about Calvary's distinctives and mission.   Our next Membership class is August 30, 2025.

Step Two: Fill out the Membership Application

Once you have gone through the class and you feel that Calvary is the right fit for you, fill out the application completely and return it to the church office as soon as possible.

Step Three: Meeting with the Elders.

After completing the application and attending the Membership class, you will be able to interview with one of our Elders. This will be an opportunity to share your testimony of faith with them, explain why you desire to be a member of Calvary.

Step Four: Introduction and Reception

Once your membership is approved, you will receive an introduction to the church family. During the next church service, one of the pastors will introduce you to the congregation. The congregation will then be asked to give a motion for you to join the congregation. Once the motion has been given and passed, you will officially be added to the membership.
